Diffusive gradients in thin films predicts crop response better than calcium-acetate-lactate extraction

چکیده

Abstract Soil P testing has been widely used to predict crop yields, uptake, and fertilizer demands in agriculture. Diffusive gradients thin films (DGT) provides a zero-sink soil test which mimics diffusion-controlled plant uptake previously found availability crops better than conventional quantity-based tests highly weathered Australian, though not European soils. Here we tested the performance of DGT Austrian German standard quantity calcium acetate lactate (CAL) explain variation yield response winter wheat ( Triticum aestivum L.) spring barley Hordeum vulgare long-term fertilization experiments at four different sites eastern Austria. Uncertainty Evaluation of the Diffusive Gradients in Thin Films Technique

Although the analytical performance of the diffusive gradients in thin films (DGT) technique is well investigated, there is no systematic analysis of the DGT measurement uncertainty and its sources. In this study we determine the uncertainties of bulk DGT measurements (not considering labile complexes) and of DGT-based chemical imaging using laser ablation - inductively coupled plasma mass spec...

diffusive gradients in thin-films (dgt), a new technique in predicting soil bio-availability of mineral elements for plants

total concentrations of mineral elements in soil bear little relation to their availability for plants. the dgt (diffusive gradients in thin-films) technique has been found to be a good predictor of trace metals, micronutrients, phosphorous and potassium bio-availability and uptake. in the dgt technique, elements are accumulated on a binding gel after their diffusive transport through a hydroge...

Activated charcoal based diffusive gradients in thin films for in situ monitoring of bisphenols in waters.

Widespread use of bisphenols (BPs) in our daily life results in their elevated concentrations in waters and the need to study their environmental impact, which demands reliable and robust measurement techniques. Diffusive gradients in thin films (DGT) is an in situ passive sampling approach which provides time-integrated data. In this study we developed a new methodology, based on DGT with acti...

Diffusive gradients in thin films measurement of sulfur stable isotope variations in labile soil sulfate

A diffusive gradient in thin films (DGT) technique, based on a strongly basic anion exchange resin (Amberlite IRA-400), was successfully tested for 34S/32S analysis in labile soil sulfate. Separation of matrix elements (Na, K, and Ca) that potentially cause non-spectral interferences in 34S/32S analysis by MC ICP-MS (multi-collector inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometry) during sampling ...

Use of diffusive gradients in thin films (DGT) in undisturbed field soils.

The technique of diffusive gradients in thin films (DGT) has been shown to be a promising tool to assess metal bioavailability in soils under laboratory conditions. In this study we used DGT to investigate the resupply kinetics of Cu and Zn under in-situ conditions in a polluted lysimeter soil and compared the results with laboratory measurements using undisturbed soil cores at defined water co...
